As President of Pakistan Netball Federation I would like to welcome you
to our website and thank you for visiting us online.
The Pakistan Netball Federation has been in existence since 1997 and
over the years we have witnessed a steady growth of the game which
initially started from Hyderabad and in a small way in our other big
cities e.g Karachi, Lahore and Faisalabad and other provinces. However
we would like to see that there is more and more interest by Netball in
our younger women and girls besides men. Australian Sports Commission
also played a pivotal role in mushrooming this sport in Pakistan through
their Embassy in Pakistan.
With our New Development Plan now in place for year 2009, PNF is
changing its direction and our focus will be the teaching of Netball in
schools and the colleges. This has never been done in the past due to
which Netball could not really develop the way it should have been. A
copy of the plan is also on this site for those interested in sponsoring
our programs and also for our Associations to see the direction we are
going in for sake of its promotion. I would like to wish all Netball
players, fans, coaches, umpires and administrators a happy and energyful
2009.
